"Aleksey Kazachenko, feverishly constructs his compositions.
The chaotic rumble of paper cutouts, paint and working tools are signature to the process based applications. The studies are brutaly etched into plastic sheets: fish scales, cabbage leaves, pickles, wood relief and every other element necessary for the composition is forged by his hand.
Elements of everyday life mark the artwork contemporary. Aleksey borrows techniques from traditional japanese painting, at times using objects to print. The collages assembled, result into «chedevre's» reminiscent of Picasso and Romare Bearden.
Kazachenko engages with his viewer. The more than life like images animate the collages. One can smell the aromas in the kitchen, feel the warm fresh fragrance of flowers and times even see the fresh fish wiggle and blink"
